Quiet in October 23 but it's expensive considering there is no grey waste or chemical toilet disposal facility. Bit of a let down that really. The 2 portable toilets provided are most likely useless in busy periods as there are 85 spaces here. There is a sign saying no disposal of chemical waste on the door of the portaloos. The owners website itself is pretty basic and I feel that the electricity price is also expensive at 1euro per kWh. We had no difficulty in paying the 12 euros with 6 X 2 euro coins. We stayed here during a blue moon in 2020 just before lockdown and had wanted to return. There have been some improvements and you can now pay by card if you wish. The electricity is three times what it should be so someone is making a hefty profit out of that. Lots of euro coins are advised. On the whole it's a nice site in a pleasant location adjacent the toll road. It's ideally placed to visit both toll roads in the area or head off further into the mountains. In this day and age electricity should be included in the overall price but the set up here is metered. You can probably run a fridge, a vehicles systems and a 500w electric fire and maybe an electric toothbrush charger if you are lucky for about 1 euro 30 per hour. There is no mention of prohibition anywhere regarding portable generators. Only rule that might apply is regarding minimising noise.
Great Stellplatz, limited electric hookups, but looks like they are putting more in. Great cycle path around the lake, 27km long, mainly flat with one steep hill and descent. Only water in site, no toilet emptying or grey water.
Great place to start your hiking trip
Very nice place, for relax and water sports.
Nice parking space in a family atmosphere. Electricity included if you can find a free socket. Luckily we didn't have to rely on Dixie. To be fair, you can't expect sanitary facilities even at the price (€12/night).
A short detour through the forest takes you to Walchensee. A little adventure for the kids before they go to bed.
We will be back!
Fair price €12.00 until 11:00 a.m
Maximum 3 nights!
Unfortunately only Dixi toilets
Fresh water for €1
Waste disposal at the container
Pitches are good
A few meters to the lake
We recommend
We were in Bavaria for 9 days with a motorhome and stayed there twice... I counted 16 electricity connections... 12 after the entrance on the right, 4 on the exit side... We filled up water for 1 euro = 70 liters ... 12 euros until 11 a.m. the next morning, completely fine... close proximity to Walchensee, 5 minutes walk to there... you can still go swimming...
Great campsite at Walchensee. For 24 hours (always starting from 11 a.m.) you pay €12. Electricity costs extra. Otherwise there are toilets (Dixies) on site. Are emptied approximately once a day.
It's a 5-minute walk directly to the lake and you can swim or paddle a SUP.
There is a bus stop nearby that runs every half hour to Walchensee or Zell am See. The valley station of the Herzogenstandbahn can also be reached directly by bus.
